Memorial Day

                        Memorial Day 

1. Memorial Day is when those who died in active military service are remembered. 

2. The purpose of memorial is to remember the people who fought for our country and their hard             work and dedication.

3. Memorial Day used to be on May 30, but it has been changed to the last Monday in May

4. Some ways to show honor and respect is writing     letters to the soldiers telling them thank you, visit       a veteran cemetery to pay your respects, go to the       parades, take cookies to a veteran hospital, and to           enjoy   freedom by spending time with your family.

7. What I will do memorial is spend time with family and be grateful for what I got and maybe go to a parade if I can.

  

Lausd Families

                        Lausd Families 

1. Parents, community, and student Services: What this does is that it involves parents and the communities working together because children tend to do better, stay longer, and like school. This will help me and my family because when they come they could what kind of work i am doing and where I need the most help. This will benefit me I will strive to do better in school and show my parents I could do it.  

2. Parents bill of rights: What the Parents Bill of Rights is that parents are equal partners in their children's education. It is a list of rules of what the parents should expect and and how they can promote their children. Its says they are as equal as the students so if the child fails so do they. I will benefit off of this because my parents and I will work as a team so that I can accomplish my goals.

                      LAUSD Services

1. Beyond the bell program: Beyond the bell program is a program where students have before and after school activities. Also it is part of a Musical and Arts program. If children are dropped early or if they are waiting after school for their parents they could do activities with other students and volunteers.

2. Athletics (CIF): This is where students could join their school athletic team. They could play to numerous sports like soccer, volleyball, football, swimming, lacrosse, cross country, and tennis. Both boys and girls are allowed in these sports and they could play to make it into the playoffs and try to win the championship.
