"A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder."

What Thomas Carlyle is trying to say is that if you have no goals your life has no meaning. A ship without rudder is a ship that cant move anywhere. The ship without a rudder just stays there and like a man with no goals he doesn't know what to do with his life and he can't move forward. Living without a goal is like living with no air there is no meaning because you don't have anything to work for. Its like what happened to my dad we have a car but it has no gas so it doesn't have any meaning at the moment but when it gets gas its like getting goals.

If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world.  


I do not believe this because there can never be world peace in the world. To achieve peace you have to get rid of people who are in your way. So in order to have peace there must be chaos. Trying to achieve peace means you have do thing like kill or something. If there is peace then there is hatred and chaos these things cannot live without each other. If there is peace, we are just human
and some people are going to strive for more.

2. Trustworthiness- is when you are loyal to your family and friends.
      Respect- Is when you are tolerate, have good manners, deal peacefully with anger.
      Responsibility- Is when you do what you are supposed to do, you persevere, and set an           good example for others.
     Fairness- is when you play by the rules, you listen to others, and treat each other fairly
    Caring- is when you are kind to other people, express gratitude, and you forgive others
     Citizenship- Is when you are a good neighbor, you help your community, and help others



Reflection: My thoughts about the six pillars is that they are rules that people should follow in everyday life. They show the significance of life and it shows you how to live rightly

Memorial Day

                        Memorial Day 

1. Memorial Day is when those who died in active military service are remembered. 

2. The purpose of memorial is to remember the people who fought for our country and their hard             work and dedication.

3. Memorial Day used to be on May 30, but it has been changed to the last Monday in May

4. Some ways to show honor and respect is writing     letters to the soldiers telling them thank you, visit       a veteran cemetery to pay your respects, go to the       parades, take cookies to a veteran hospital, and to           enjoy   freedom by spending time with your family.

7. What I will do memorial is spend time with family and be grateful for what I got and maybe go to a parade if I can.

  

Summary

Renee and Eric

What Eric did was he killed two girls called Megan and Lisa. He was driving under the influence and he crashed into their car killing them instantly. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison. Then Renee Megan's mom wrote him a letter saying that she forgave him and that the judge could cut his time in jail by half. When Eric got out of jail him and Renee when to schools talking about the consequences of drinking and driving and Lisa's parents forgave him to.

"When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive." 

What Alan Paton is trying to say is that in order to be recovered 100% we need to forgive the ones that hurt us. That we can't live with hate in our lives forever we need to forgive those people. I once got beat up by a kid in middle school. I hated that feeling and I wanted to cause a lot of harm to him. After some months passed he began to to take the same school bus as me. He would sit next to me and we would talk and then we became best friens because I forgave him.

So far i have completed 10 goals out 110. All my other goals are when i grow up so I can't complete them. I will complete my goals when i graduate high school or hopefully before it. I use a small little notebook where I keep my goals so it won't take a lot of space in my backpack and my locker.

 What John Wooden is trying to say is that you have to practice your best everyday, and by doing this you become a lot better. Everyday you practice you gain experience not a lot but little so everyday that you practice you are getting better everyday little by little. My friend Luis would practice playing the guitar and he was good at it because he practiced R.I.P. LUIS

There was a game between western Oregon and Central Washington. They were playing the final and Sara goes and hits her first and final home-run. When she went to first base she fell because of an torn ACL. Two players from the other team Mallory and Liz went and they picked her up and they carried her to every base unil home plate. This showed kindness from them because they were on different teams and they helped her out. The final core was 4-2 Western Oregon wonn.

Real Madrid is one of the greatest clubs in the world right now. They have great players and they often win .

      Patrick

 Patrick got sting by a scorpion because he was choosing the wrong. He was camping with his family and he decided to go exploring. He did not put his shoes, but he wore some flip flops. He felt a sting on his leg and he noticed a scorpion stung him. he family rushed him to the hospital where they cured him.

Patrick learned a valuable lesson that day. He was choosing the wrong and he faced the consequences. If he wore his shoes he could have avoided this accident. 

Veterans Day

Veterans Day 

Veterans Day is a national Holiday that The United States of America celebrates on November 2nd. It's when we remember those who served our country so they will never be forgotten. My uncle is a veteran who served the army and he fought in Afghanistan. He served for 4 years. When he came back he wasn't the same anymore. He was scarred with memories of his fellow friends dying in front of him. He was scarred mentally 

Football Cheaters

I feel ashamed of these football players for cheating. They had a good job and they played the sport they loved. They could of gone big but they chose the wrong. They did the thing the love best but because they chose to do drugs

My first week at HPIAM

My first week here was really hard adjusting from my old school. I have only made 1 friend so far. I don't know anybody here. I get confused with the schedule of odds one and even's the next. In my old school it was just 6 periods and we'd go to all of them. I had a lot of friends in my old school. I get confused about due dates from each class. I only like that we get out at 2:30 and I could walk home. At my old school I would have to take the school bus and I'd get home around 4:30. So hopefully I'll make new friends this semester.
