What Thomas Carlyle is trying to say is that if you have no goals your life has no meaning. A ship without rudder is a ship that cant move anywhere. The ship without a rudder just stays there and like a man with no goals he doesn't know what to do with his life and he can't move forward. Living without a goal is like living with no air there is no meaning because you don't have anything to work for. Its like what happened to my dad we have a car but it has no gas so it doesn't have any meaning at the moment but when it gets gas its like getting goals.

I do not believe this because there can never be world peace in the world. To achieve peace you have to get rid of people who are in your way. So in order to have peace there must be chaos. Trying to achieve peace means you have do thing like kill or something. If there is peace then there is hatred and chaos these things cannot live without each other. If there is peace, we are just human
and some people are going to strive for more.

What Sophocles is trying to say is that losing or failing honestly is better than passing or winning by cheating. If you pass a test and you cheated than you were only cheating yourself in life. It's more important to be honest with yourself than to be a cheat and a lair. I would fail the test than to cheat because by cheating I'm just leading my life into a lie and I don't want that to happen.I want people to know that I am honest and a trustworthy person.

What Dan Dierdorf is trying to say is that if you follow your goals and you pursue them you will succeed. That pursuing your dreams in the way you know best will make you a hard worker and you're going in the right direction. If you do the right thing right then you will succeed.

What Dennis Prager is trying to say is that the most important thing in your life will be good values. What he means by good values is that you don't curse, don't drink alcohol, don't do drugs, be a ctr person. This list could go on and on. By having good values you are being a CTR person. If you do things that are wrong you're living a life of bad values and regrets . I used to curse, but now I don't curse a lot as before. What Dennis Prager means is that people who kill just feel like doing what they want and they don't care or have any values that they follow. People who steal are just people who feel like they want something not what they value. Some people are in inner conflict with themselves because if their beloved dog falls into the water and is drowning and a person is also drowning they don't know who to recuse because their dog is based on their feeling while a person's life is more valued.

I don't believe in Wilford Woodruff quote because when you do the wrong you do gain something. When you do the wrong and you regret you gained experience. It's like if you steal something you might regret it you'll learn not to do that again because you know the consequences. So if you choose the wrong you gain experience in what not to do not making you a better person, but a person with experience.

What Dr. Laura Schlessinger is trying to say is that when you do the right you feel good about yourself in the inside . It helps you with your self esteem and by doing the right you gain more respect for yourself. It's a feeling that only you can explain and feel when you do the right.

What Thomas S. Monson is trying to say is that at times people will choose the wrong and they will urge you to do the same, but even if your alone you got to say no. They are ruining their careers and they want you to do the same. Even if it's 1 vs 100 you have to stop and think about the consequences and you have to choose the right. If choose the right you will succeed in life.

What Alan Paton is trying to say is that in order to be recovered 100% we need to forgive the ones that hurt us. That we can't live with hate in our lives forever we need to forgive those people. I once got beat up by a kid in middle school. I hated that feeling and I wanted to cause a lot of harm to him. After some months passed he began to to take the same school bus as me. He would sit next to me and we would talk and then we became best friens because I forgave him.

What Theodore Roosevelt is trying to say is that in any moment of decision you have to choose the right thing to do. For example if you are with a group and they decide to do drugs and they tell you to do it you have to be the better person and say 'NO". You have to know when to say no because sometimes there will be bad consequences.

 What John Wooden is trying to say is that you have to practice your best everyday, and by doing this you become a lot better. My friend Luis would practice playing the guitar and he was good at it because he practiced R.I.P. LUIS

Taking the easy way out is usually choosing the wrong when we work for things and we earn it that is when it is most important.

What Abraham Lincoln is trying to say is that you have to stick with people who are choosing the right because those people do good in life and they are truthful and well trusted people. If you are hanging out with the wrong kind of people you will do bad things that later on in life you will regret. People who do the right want you to succeed in life and for you to accomplish your goals, while people who do the wrong want you fail in life and to be like them. My cousin used to be a straight A student because he hung out with people that wanted him to succeed in life, then he started hanging out with people who do drugs and he became an F student who barely graduated High School. I am trying to learn from his mistakes so that it doesn't happen to me.
