Duties and responsibilities:

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of the eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problem and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and other perform research.

Average salary: $90,000-$150,000

Educational requirements:

Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologists. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologists must then complete a three year to five year residency in an approval ophthalmology their residency program the must pass an examination to be certified.

I think I would not because you have to get your residency from 3-5 years, plus you need to take a internship. Only physicians can be ophthalmologists. You got to
